Terms of Service

1. The agreement

These terms govern your use of Neurolayer Labs products and of neurolayerlabs.com. By installing a product or subscribing, you agree to them. Neurolayer Labs is operated by David Strahan in the Indianapolis area, Indiana, USA.

2. The products

A single subscription currently covers the live products listed below. Products marked "in development" elsewhere on this site are not yet offered and nothing in these terms promises a release date.

NeuroFit is in development and not yet offered. The $10/month Complete Ecosystem tier becomes available when it launches.

3. Free trial

• Every plan starts with a 72-hour free trial with full access to the products in that plan.
• No credit card is required to start the trial, so nothing can be charged when it ends — it simply expires.
• One trial per person. Subscribe whenever you're ready; there is no obligation to.

4. Subscriptions and automatic renewal

Every paid plan is a recurring monthly subscription that renews automatically. When you subscribe, you authorize Neurolayer Labs, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your chosen payment method the price of your tier each month until you cancel. You give this authorization affirmatively at checkout — the same disclosure appears next to the subscribe button before you pay.

• NeuroBrowse + NeuroNotes — $5/month ($3/month for students).
• Adds NeuroLearn — $8/month ($6/month for students).
• Complete Ecosystem — $10/month ($8/month for students), available when NeuroFit launches.

The student discount is a flat $2/month off any tier, applied automatically when you sign up with a verified .edu email. Prices are in US dollars and exclude the API usage costs you pay your AI providers directly (see section 6). If a tier price ever changes, we'll notify you in advance and the new price takes effect at your next renewal — never mid-cycle.

5. Cancellation and refunds

Cancel anytime, yourself, in a couple of clicks. Your account page links to the Stripe customer portal, where you can cancel with no email, no phone call, and no retention hoops. Cancelling stops the automatic renewal; your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.

Refunds — 7-day money-back guarantee

If you're not happy within 7 days of subscribing, you get a full refund — no questions asked. Email hello@neurolayerlabs.com within 7 days of your first charge and we'll refund it in full. After the 7-day window, cancel anytime as described above: no further charges, and your access continues through the period you've already paid for. API usage costs are billed by your AI providers directly and aren't ours to refund — but you can set spending limits with every provider. Statutory refund rights in your jurisdiction are unaffected by anything in these terms.

6. Your API keys and costs

Products use API keys you create with third-party AI providers. You are responsible for those provider accounts, their terms, and the usage costs they bill you. Neurolayer Labs does not control provider pricing, availability, or output.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use the products to break the law, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to abuse, reverse-engineer, or resell the services. AI output can be wrong — review it before you rely on it.

8. Intellectual property

The products, branding, and this site belong to Neurolayer Labs. Content you create with the products — your notes, your summaries, your generated media (subject to your AI providers' terms) — is yours.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The products are provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Neurolayer Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before a claim.

10. Changes

If these terms change materially, we'll post the update here with a new date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
